Why is photography my passion?
It's at that very moment when the shutter clicks that you capture that piece of time forever. Your mind and eye is focused on one thing and one thing only, your subject. All of your worries, thoughts, and troubles seem to disappear. For some of us, the outdoors cleanses our body of the everyday riggers of life. It takes us away to a place where we can reflect on ourselves and focus on the things that really matter. When we look back through our pictures, we remember why we are here and what we were meant to do. For me, this is why I love photography. I am always looking forward to the next adventure and sharing it with you.
I really enjoy exploring the Oregon high desert. Juniper and sagebrush are a couple of my favorite smells. Owls, Bighorn Sheep, and Mustangs are a few of my favorite photo subjects, but I love all wildlife.
One of my favorite quotes is from Ansel Adams -
'A good photograph is knowing where to stand.'
I find it applies well to photography and life.
